Job Description
This person is dedicated, enthusiastic, and highly motivated. They will lead a team of skilled zoo professionals adhering to a mission of Conservation and Education at beautiful Chahinkapa Zoo.
Work includes:
Employee Management, Policy Development, Animal Care and Welfare, Safety and Security, Marketing, and Promotion of Zoological missions.
This person assumes responsibility for all aspects of the operation. (Full description available). Works with a Board of Directors- Chahinkapa Zoo Association.
Qualifications include:
Graduation form a college or university with major courses in zoology, biology, or zoo management/related field.
Ability to evaluate zoo facilities and programs and recommend the appropriate plans.
Considerable knowledge of zoo policies, procedures, and practices.
Ability to communicate and establish effective working relationships with fellow employees, other agencies, and the public.
Ability to understand and follow instructions regarding job assignments.
